The Las Vegas Main Attractions

By Chris Linch

Before you make the trip out to "Sin City", you should really make a list of the "must see" destinations. Just imagine, Paris, New York, and Italy all on the same street. Here is a great list of the top Las Vegas destinations.

Accentuated by a lovely musical water fountain is Las Vegas' very own Bellagio. Inside is a recreation of Venice complete with gondola rides, exclusive art boutiques, and a shopping center. You can also enjoy "O" by Cirque du Soleil, gamble in the fabulous casino, of dine in five star restaurants like Circo and Jasmine. The Bellagio is easily on of the greatest Las Vegas attractions.

The Mirage Resort in Las Vegas is home to many exciting attractions, including Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden, a Dolphin Habitat, waterfalls, and a rainforest garden. All of this is accented by a 90-foot high atrium ceiling and a 20,000 gallon saltwater tank at the front desk. With all of this inside it is hard to believe that the Mirage is known for it's outdoor activities. Just come and experience the volcanic eruption of fire and water between 8pm and midnight.

One of downtown Las Vegas' most popular attractions at night is Fredmont Street. The street has a 90 foot high canopy to protect from the sun during the day, and is open only to pedestrian traffic. Known as the Freemont Street Experience, the free display includes entertainers and street musicians, and a light show on the canopy every night, which is it's biggest draw.

Though the shows in Vegas do change from time to time, it is guaranteed that if you can imagine it, you can see it in Vegas. Anything from world-class singers and impossible acrobatics, to amazing musicians can be found here.

Cirque du Soliel has many shows in Las Vegas, even an "adults-only" show. Phantom of the Opera plays at the Venetian. Critics have said that it is the best Phantom performance, so come even if you have seen it before. The stage was even built just for Phantom. The Blue Man Group is also a very popular attraction, and singers like Bette Midler, Elton John, and Cher make regular appearances throughout the town. - 30229
