Save Money And Travel To Vegas

By Chris Linch

Are you a frugal travel? Then Las Vegas is the place for you to spend your vacation. There are numerous free or cheap things to do that will help you stretch your precious dollars. Even if you don't gamble, Las Vegas has something for every traveler, young and old. This article covers the must-dos for the person who likes to travel on the cheap.

Want to take advantage of the beautiful Las Vegas nights? Catch the Bellagio fountain shows right in the middle of the Strip. The shows operate nightly, usually every 15 minutes (be sure to check with the casino for that evening's schedule). The fountains sway to a variety of music, from classical serenades to popular hits. Each show feels like a different experience.

Witness a battle between sexy sirens and swarthy male pirates, right on the Strip. In front of the Treasure Island casino, you can catch one of four nightly shows. These shows are kid friendly and chock full of entertainment. Be sure to get there early to get the best view, but be careful where you stand. If you're too close, you may get wet.

Every kid loves the circus. Reminisce about your childhood or take your kids to the Circus Circus Casino. The casino hosts world-class midway acts every half hour. See jugglers throw balls into the air and trapeze artists amuse the crowd. Shows are different each time.

Engage your senses at the Freemont Street Experience. Located downtown and away from the Strip, a long covered walkway is filled to the brim with street performers and vendors. Street performers alone may not be enough to bring you downtown, but the light and sound show is a sight not to be missed. The show is displayed on the canopy above the walkway several times nightly.

Las Vegas is a city of indulgences and you can even manage to partake in some for free. Head off the Strip to Ethel M's Chocolate Factory (One Sunset Way) and live the chocolate connoisseurs dream. During your visit you can take a self-guided tour, taste some delicious chocolates, and even buy a few tasty delights. - 30229
